Inevitable tragedy occurred on Thursday. Sister Fonda, my beloved bestie, companion, and co-trainer.... was transferred. It was honestly sooo sad and I'm still having withdrawals.... but Sister Lett and I mourn her loss together as we press on!

Goodbye sis fonda:( #lasttrioselfie

if you're reading this sister Fonda, I love you and happy birthday.

Anyways......

Charity: We've had a potential investigator we've wanted to meet with for months, her name is Charity. Its pretty ironic, because we stopped by probably 587 times, and we had to pray for charity for the desire to keep stopping by Charity when she wasn't home..... :)

Here's some ways Mormon describes Charity...I added some of my own interjections.

"And charity suffereth long, we suffered a looonng time to meet with her...

and is kind, she is!

and envieth not,

and is not puffed up, no she is not!

seeketh not her own,

is not easily provoked,

thinketh no evil,

and rejoiceth not in iniquity but rejoiceth in the truth, she loved the Restoration!!!

believeth all things, she believed what we taught!

hopeth all things,

endureth all things.

Alas, we met with her and she was so delightful! She's a new investigator and lemme tell ya, my heart was brim with charity for Charity! Makes me think of how many times we may judge before we actually know someone or give them a chance. I am studying meekness this transfer, and I love how Elder Bednar describes it as righteous responsiveness, willing submissiveness, and strong self-restraint. I think if we're all a little more meek, and a little more charitable, we can act rather than react to stressful situations. We don't have to lash out, or ignore people, but just think the best of them! Charity is a single mom and is super busy. When I took the time to get to know her, I loved her so much!

I love you guys! One of my favorite things on my mission so far is seeing how I've grown as a person, and to be a greater example of Jesus Christ. What a blessing to be a missionary!

Meme of the Week:

when your investigator calls you by your first name:

"I will not suffer my name to be polluted" (1 Nephi 20:11)
