hi!

I had some cool uplifting experiences this week. It's amazing cause as a missionary sometimes miracles seem less like miracles cause you're just seein them allll the time. I love how newer missionaries like Sister Lett keep things fresh and beautiful for me!

got lost and ended up on a farm with horses lolol

Here's some experiences that happened this week:

  • We got out of an appointment, and there was this guy I felt like we should go talk to. By the time we made it across the street we missed him and he went inside. I was kinda bummed cause he was there and I didn't go and talk to him! I tried...but I wasn't quick enough to speak up and haul us over there. The next night we're out on a different street but I see him AGAIN and his son walking and selling chocolate. I hustled over there and talked to him. I bought some chocolate and earned my right to talk to him. He was from Taber, and so we had a good conversation. He wasn't interested, but I was so grateful that Heavenly Father loved me enough to give me a second chance to talk to him, so I wouldn't have to worry what might have happened if I hadn't. #miracle

  • Yesterday, we visited a recent convert that has really been struggling. She's been MIA and we've stopped over soo many times and she has been gone. We stopped by unannounced and when she saw us she immediately started crying. She said "why are you here? How did you know to come!? Every time I feel low you always show up." She hugged us and cried as we told her we loved her, she said that she couldn't believe we hadn't given up on her. In that moment I knew that she wasn't really talking about us, as sister missionaries, but who we represented. Every time we show up she knows its a sign from God that he sends his servants to his children. And that God loves her, and He most certainly never gives up on her! #miracle

But wait............there's more!

  • A french guy who is biking across CANADA googled churches to go to and ended up here at our church. We got him a french BOM and he stayed for all 3 hours of church. #miracle

  • We picked up an investigator through tracting (I love when tracting works). #miracle

  • AND, a 13 year old girl googled "How can I find peace?" and mormon.org was the first thing that popped up. SLC sisters have been talking to her online and we're teaching her tomorrow. #miracle

The day of miracles has not ceased! I love you all!!!!!

funny quotes of the week:

  • Telling our ward mission leader about all the people who try to set us up with their sons: "Dang! They're like King Lamoni tryna hook Ammon up with his daughters and you're just like, 'no sir, I'm just a missionary, let me serve you."

  • Asking Tyler, our 9 year old investigator, if he's afraid of water cause he's getting baptized soon: "I'm not afraid of the water!... I'm afraid of eggs!"

  • When our investigator canceled our lesson AGAIN by texting "can we do tomorrow night instead?" Sister Fonda quoting Shia Labeouf: "YESTERDAY you said TOMORROW. JUST DO IT."

Meme of the Week:

My dad when he dances:

"and behold the whiteness thereof did exceed all the whiteness, yea, even there could be nothing upon earth so white as the whiteness thereof." (3 Nephi 19:25)

Pics:

Our buddy, Alex Williams from Calgary, called us out of the blue and said he wanted to take us to lunch! He was in Forest Lawn, so Sister Fonda and I both knew him. It was fun catching up!!

(also, note the awkward gap between me and Alex because I'm a sister missionary and don't know how to take normal pictures)

Sister Lett's first poutine!

Supper at the Wissler's is always a hoo-t (get it... cause we look like whos from whoville)

Sister Fonda has an amazing talent where she can make her lips disappear. shes so amazing.

Med hat sign!

one last pic in case you forgot what i looked like.
