HI!!!!!!!!!!! Guys. this week has been SO FUN!!!!!!!! me and sister fonda are the only sisters in the city so we're known as the queens of medhat!

Sister Fonda is a straight up party to be with and i am loving all the new people I am meeting in the new ward! Its sweet cause its like I got transfered (cause now I cover more people, and have new investigators) but I still get to see all the people I love in my other ward!

sister fonda also served in valley view, so we had to take a pic by this apt :) its so fun knowing all the same people!!

highlights:

Had Stake Conference! i shaked 101 hands. (mission goal is to shake at least 100 hands every stake conference hahahahha)
Received a new Preach My Gospel chapter (replacing ch 8) (very big deal to us missionaries lol),
our investigators Christa and Noah came to church and met our mission president and his wife

our investigator Noah (the one we tracted into that one time) made us Lego crosses!!! SO cute :)

during our interview w/President his daughter facetimed, and we got to watch his granddaughter be blessed in church! It was really special for me, because my new baby nephew was also being blessed that same day, but in New York! :) #blessings

I just want to share my testimony on living prophets.

Yesterday I had an investigator ask, "what's the deal with church authority? is it the Jesus police?"

I had another man we were teaching for the first time yesterday say, "why do you mormons vote in your prophet each year? Why do you have that pecking order or those men?"

To the first investigator, we explained that that authority isn't some men with aviators and a whip, but its priesthood power, its authority to act and speak in God's name! Without that authority, we'd be headless chickens running around preaching only our own idea's, not Gods. But with authority-- we can be led to understand God's word.

To the second man, I wanted to shrivel at the bashy comment. But I held up my head and said, "Well, just as Jesus Christ was the head of his church, he called 12 apostles to minister with him. He loves us just as much as the people then, so wouldn't it make sense that he would call a prophet to speak to us, and give us the same organization of leaders as when he was on the earth?"

A light bulb went off in his head and he said, "hm. okay" Hahaha it was a really beautiful moment! The church is so true! It really has all be restored in its fullness. It just makes sense, and its something that people are drawn to!
