Hi family,

Its been 20 hours since we last spoke-- I’m still alive!

Well merry christmas everyone and happy boxing day! We boutta watch a movie!!!! (our mission presidents gift to us lol).

WHOS READY FOR A CHRISTMAS MIRACLE???

Ok sooo, it was a white christmas!

And i ain’t talkin’ about the snow people. (thats a given)

It was a white christmas, cause I got to see one of my precious Taber investigator suit up in pearly white and get dunked!!!!!!

If you’re like my family ya probs dont remember Starr cause that was a while ago. But me and Sister Follett started teaching Starr, the most precious Filipino man you will ever meet. Way back on me and Sister Follett’s first lessons, at the very beginning of her mission, I was like “invite him to be baptized!!!” i had full confidence in my lil greenie. And after she invited him, Starr just stared horrified and confused and was like

“.....................................................um…………...i’ll text you.”

Well people, investigators truly DO text back, prayers ARE answered, and Starr DID accept that invitation, and he WAS baptized!!!!!!!!

Its also super cool cause like, HIS NAME IS STARR. And at Christmas there was a new star in the sky, that led the wisemen to Christ. As the father of a young family, I think of how his example and testimony will be a guiding light to his family and to others as he points others to Christ. What better gift could you give Christ this Christmas??????

Anyways. This week was so great. Had our first lesson with the Crazy Bull family. Yes, thats they’re true and legal last name. After the lesson I’m just tryna schedule a return appointment and they’re like, “so when can we get baptized?” LIKE OK WOWWWW???????????????? Christmas miracles.

Ok one more funny lil miracle!

So I was on exchanges with Sister Stash and Sister Hawkins in their area. Went to go meet with one of their investigators, Josh. Start talking with Josh and basically he falls asleep like 5 minutes after we start teaching. But he has a care taker (has some mental disorders after a car accident) and we just start teaching his caretaker. Long story short, we gave him a Book of Mormon and he was intrigued (works every time). Then I’m like, “so where in Africa you from?” and he’s like “you probably wouldn’t know, guess.”

Oh he’s trying to challenge me. Ok, bring it on, Allen. I spit out where most African Canadians are from, Sudan, South Africa, Liberia, Nigeria, Kenya. All wrong. And so I ask for the first letter, he says “C.”

Ah, easy. “Cameroon.” I say.

He looks at me like how the heck….

But seriously, I have taught way too many Africans to not know my basic African geography. And let me remind you I’m from Baltimore…..

And he’s like “yes…..”

And I’m like, “ah! I was just teaching a man from Cameroon like 2 weeks ago. His name is John!” And he gets super pumped and both our wheels start turning and hes like “thats my roommate!! (and bestie)” and I realized we had MET when I knocked John’s door and he looked at us like, “why are there 3 white girls here to see my roommate.” Lol, BUT YAAAAAAAA. So I was like, “John is going to be baptized in our church! You should talk to him about it!” And then he got super pumped. The fact that I had been on exchanges with the other sisters at John’s lesson and then on exchanges with these sisters at Allen’s lesson I’m just like, wowowow God puts us in places for a reason!!!!! Miracles.

Anyways, I just want to bear my testimony that I know that Christ lives. He is the gift of this Christmas! I saw a family with a white stocking, and they told me, that each of the family members write what they’ll give to Jesus that year, I love that idea! He is the reason for the season. I can truly say this has been one of the best Christmases of and for my life as I have focused on Him.
