hi pals,

so this week was swaggin!!!!!!!

so we got to go to Calgary for MLC (mission leadership conference) and it was super fun getting to learn about how to help missionaries and stuff like that! Loved it!! Also got to see some of my favorite missionary pals there!!! (@sisterwilliams)

We then got to go on exchanges! I went with sister rogers!! She is so sweet and fun. I got to go to her area and we had an awesome day!

She's in a YSA ward there, so I was with people my age. And like we were meeting with girls and guys OUR AGE. Hahaha I'm so used to old people and little kids so it was weird!! But super fun!

In general we stayed busy this week! It snowed a bunch here and we didn't have a car so we did a lot of mooching people for rides lol!

People in Canada act like snow is nbd though. Like no one plows, everyone just puts snow tires on their cars, and at church a ton of people are just in socks cause they but their snow boots on the shoe racks here. it's weird. eskimo life.

Miracle of the week!

So we met with a potential investigator named Akelio. She is a beautiful single mom of 5 kids and she is soo precious. She immigrated to Canada over 12 years ago from South Sudan, and she has made lots of mormon friends since she moved here. She had been taught by missionaries over 2 years ago, but it just wasn't the right time with her ex-husband and everything. Her friends had given her and her kids Book of Mormons, they had gone to church with her and her family, and they had even invited them to watch general conference! All these people had been planting seeds for 12 years. And finally, she called up her friend and said "I'm ready to be baptized! Send the missionaries over!"

AND WE WERE THOSE LUCKY MISSIONARIES!!!

It was so cool to see how the Lord's timing works. Right now our wards are doing a 40 day fast for missionary work, and I know that her heart was softened at this time because of the faith of our ward members! It was a beautiful experience to witness. I am so blessed.
