This street made me feel like I was in San Francisco.
Lil Story for Ya:
One day this week it was hot, I was exhausted, and I probably was not in the best mood ever... We were outside walking, and there was a woman sitting outside smoking, and I could kind of feel her staring at me. She had tattoos and looked kinda gruff. Although I like to believe that I am really open minded and friendly, in that moment, I wasn't super pumped to go up and talk to her. I thought to myself: "hm. I'm really not in the mood to ask this person if they're interested in learning about Jesus. Cause she'll probably say something sassy cause she's staring me down, and then I'll be in a not so happy mood."
BUT, thank goodness my companion Sister Dewsnup is more humble than me! She was like "hey! I like your dog!" And the woman was SO nice. And we chatted about her dog, and we told her we were missionaries, and that we do service, and teach people about Jesus Christ! She was like "Actually, I just escaped an abusive relationship and I moved here 3 days ago. I have met with LDS missionaries in the past, and I've been trying to find them here, but I don't know how." and our faces dropped and we told her that we were the missionaries for her area. Her face just lit up and her whole countenance changed. I felt pretty dang stupid for almost not talking to this precious daughter of God.
There are sooo many people in the world that are looking for happiness and just don't know where to find it. As a missionary, I just want to tell everyone, about what makes me so happy! I wouldn't be on my mission if it didn't. It was pretty humbling. The whole experience reminded me of this scripture:
"Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the Lord seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart." (1 Samuel 16:7)
I love you all :) Have a swaggin week, ya'll.

TBT to Jeanie last week??? She gave me a beanie baby. A 2001 collectible. I was so honored.

We did Sister Sibbald's hair and makeup and made her an online dating profile ;))))
[SORRY. I don't have the pic for this caption]
This dog was nice to me. Yesterday a dog attacked me for like an hour. Idk why dogs love being on me so much, but let's just say, I use lint rollers a lot.
