Sarith's Baptism!!!!!

GOOD WEEK!!!!!! :)

Sarith was baptized on Saturday!! It was such an amazing experience, cause Sarith is just an all around champ!! I really feel that meeting him has made me a better person. He was paralyzed in a shooting 8 years ago, and rather than being negative, he is so hopeful! I love how he embraces the gospel of Jesus Christ and finds peace in it! He had become a new person because of Christ's atonement!

Sarith leaned over right before church started. "So when I receive the Holy Spirit, will I finally be able to know the Wifi password? I've been trying to crack it."

Hahahahaha!!!! I LOVE THAT! The Holy Ghost really does give us guidance, and helps us know truth! It may not give us inspiration to crack the Wifi password... but it can definitely guide us. It guides me all the time! :) (P.S. We gave him the wifi password.)

Cambodian New Year:

Before Sarith's baptism, Sarith invited us to a Cambodian New Year party! We show up, the only white people amongst hundreds of Cambodians. And there we were, 2 Mormon missionaries in the midst of a Buddhist prayer circle. Hahaha Sarith was the best though and is literally friends with everyone! And he's like "These are the girls who helped me stop smoking!!" and "These are my sister missionaries!" Hahahahaha!

And we see these Cambodian Monks and they had like hundreds of dishes of plates people bring to them and they're just feasting. And we wanted a pic with a monk soooo bad. And Sarith asks the monk in Cambodian if we could take a pic. And he's like sure! Friendliest Monk ever! But wait. It gets better.

The monk had little English but asked if we went to University. And we said that we were missionaries! And he GOT SO PUMPED. And then he asked where we were from. And we told him we were from the States and he WAS EVEN MORE PUMPED. And the Monk whips out his iPhone from his wrap {Monks have technology???} and was like "Can we take selfie?" THE MONK WANTED A SELFIE WITH US. We were so excited. I will treasure the pic for all my posterity.

Anyways, I hope everyone has a great Easter! Lets not forget the marvelous message of hope that comes from the #PrinceofPeace! I know my Savior lives! And that he is truly the only way we can have peace! Remember that my friends :) Watch this vid!!!!

They asked me to give a training for the other missionaries. I got this toy in my Wendy's kids meal. Therefore, I gave my training in the form of an interactive puppet show. It was a hit.
