Solid week.
A lady we had met on the street called us over and said she could use a friend so of course, we came. Her name was Bonnie. She used to be a gypsy, living in tents and loving that nomadic lifestyle. As we started teaching, her son brought out a singing bowl, and a variety of drums. They played for us. She then put this thing up to my ear. She said the vibrations would elevate my "I AM" spirit. She told us of all the lives she lived, and how she recently reincarnated from an old man. Her house was so warm and smelled so strongly of essential oils I thought I might pass out. All in all, Bonnie was a lovely lady. I don't think we'll be going back though.
We had exchanges this weekend! Its basically when you swap companions and areas. I went to the southern part of Calgary and everyone told me to stay safe when I told them I'm usually in the North. "They're are some kooks up there!' But missions are no fun when all you meet is normal people, am I right?
One of my favorite scriptures is Doctrine and Covenants 50:22
"Wherefore, he that preacheth and he that receiveth, understand one another, and both are edified and rejoice together."
I love this scripture because it basically sums up life as a missionary. When we understand the people we teach, we learn from each other and are both uplifted. I feel so much joy as I teach people!
Nacho Libre says it best: "Life is good. Reeeeeaaaaaaal good."
